Description
Christie Clinic's Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Scheduler, Monday - Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, at Christie Clinic on Windsor in Champaign. Duties include checking patients out from the exam room and scheduling appointments/testing after their visit with their provider. The scheduler will also serve as a liaison between patients and medical support staff.
Typical Physical Demands:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in the exam room and involves frequent contact with patients and exposure to communicable illnesses. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
- Fill out radiology requisition forms.
- Act as a liaison between Internal Medicine and other Christie Clinic departments to refer patients to specialized providers.
- Schedule/place orders for tests, labs, appointments, etc.
- Attend and participate in monthly department meetings.
- Maintain Internal Medicine scheduler work list
- Appropriate use of flag system per standard work.
- Maintain an organized work area. (Filing patient orders, routers, etc.)
- Perform related work as required.
