Description

Christie Clinic's department of Neurology is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner at our Bloomington location. Will be responsible for seeing new and established patients in an ambulatory setting in collaboration with the Neurology Bloomington Department Chair. Responsible for consultations, follow-ups, and in-office procedures, and will also support infusion services. Illinois State Licensure required for this position.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 50 pounds.  Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. 

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a clinical setting with frequent exposure to sharp objects, communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances and other conditions common to a clinic environment.  Requirements may include working irregular hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical examinations, preventative health measures, and neurological care.
  • Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to create an educated diagnosis for the patient.
  • Communicate diagnosis with provider to formulate a medical plan of action for the patient.
  • Prescribe or recommend prescription medications or other forms of treatment to treat patient illness.
  • Work in conjunction with a collaborating physician.
  • Perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois State Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • CPR Certification
  • Experience preferred, but not required
