Job Description
Job Title: Project Accountant
Job Location: 17725 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094
Job Overview:
The Project Accountant is responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with audit preparations. Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starters who are able to multi-task effectively. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are also required.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Performing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing account analysis including reconciliations for specific G/L accounts for month end close.
- Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Preparation and reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions, ensuring proper allocation, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in year-end audit and tax preparation processes.
- Contribute to improving processes and optimizing accounting procedures.
- Work closely with Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights.
- Assist with various short-term or long-term projects as needed
- Provide ad hoc reporting and support business initiatives
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance preferred
- 3-5 years of work experience in an Accounting / Finance field
- Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficient in Quick-Books accounting, MS Excel
- Experience working with various ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience accounting for multiple sets of company books.
- A positive, kind attitude toward others and strong customer service skills
- Excellent time management and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
