EMPLOYMENT TYPE:Full-time, 40 hours/week

SCHEDULED HOURS:        Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:30pm. Some Saturdays may be required in the future.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Pathways Opiate Treatment Program

Pathways is an accredited Opiate Treatment Program that provides MAT (exclusively methadone), individual therapy, group counseling, psycho-educational groups, individualized treatment planning, recovery coaching, harm reduction services, and ongoing assessment and referrals. Pathways runs with a supportive multidisciplinary team model including a great blend of clinical and medical staff. At Pathways, the team and program work hard to save lives and reduce risks every day.

ABOUT THE POSITION: Therapist

Position Highlights

  • Clinical supervision is held weekly. If employee’s licensure requirements are incompatible with staff here, a staff member from another program will provide supervision toward licensure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based group, individual, family, and intensive outpatient therapy.
  • Perform clinical and risk assessments and make referrals for appropriate services and levels of care.
  • Documents client services and relevant activity in electronic health record and performs assigned administrative tasks.
  • Participate in assigned meetings including individual supervision, staff and team meetings, and required trainings.
  • Collaborates with client’s healthcare providers, social service agencies, and natural supports.
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Collaborate on Reentry Planning for clients in correctional facility.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  License eligible Masters or Doctorate Degree in behavioral health field. 

Experience: Comprehensive knowledge and experience providing assessment and treatment to persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.  Relevant experience with evidence-based practice is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: LCSW or other license to practice psychotherapy in State of CT preferred.  LADC.  LPC.  All MSW staff must possess an LMSW or LCSW. Recent graduates may be hired with a valid Temporary Permit to practice as an MSW (valid for 120 calendar days after the date the master’s degree was awarded). Completion of all background checks and orientation in correctional facility may be required.

Training:  Demonstrated education, supervised training, and practical experience providing the full spectrum of behavioral health treatment, including clinical and risk assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and group, individual, and family therapy.

COMPENSATION RANGE*:              

$53,372 min.- $74,728 max., dependent upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
