JOB TITLE: Therapist Assistant
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday-Friday, Flexible, hybrid schedule. Availability 9am-8pm M-F

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)
Provides intensive in home family therapy clinical treatment to children age 9 to 18.5 who have substance abuse issues. The model strengthens the parenting role in families and improves communication between parent and child.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Providing youth with substance use issues and/or behavioral health issues and their family members intensive home based case management services and support;
- Linking youth and families to services as needed to address educational, vocational, legal, health and basic needs;
- Promoting positive family relationships
- Engaging the youth in pro-recovery activities in the community;
- Linking with appropriate treatment sources and providing wrap around care.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides case management support to clients and their families in person, over the phone, through use of text messaging and in the community.
- Understands MDFT model and uses concepts when appropriate to aid clients in understanding and managing their symptoms and their recovery.
- Collaborates with MDFT therapists, supervisor and other relevant clinical team members to coordinate and deliver services to clients. Works in close collaboration with assigned therapist or supervisor in the event that clinical or crisis intervention is needed.
- Maintains family and other collateral contacts to ensure quality, client-centered services.
- Assesses and involves natural supports in treatment planning and discharge processes whenever possible.
- Demonstrates competency in topics of substance use and recovery, mental health, child development, and provides trauma sensitive and culturally competent care.
- Ensures that urinalyses are completed as required by model.
- Responsible for documenting all services and contacts with clients, collateral contacts and appointments according to agency and model standards.
- Attends all program and MDFT required meetings and trainings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services required.
Experience: At least two (2) years’ experience in a substance use setting preferred. Demonstrated orientation toward serving people with substance use and/or mental health issues in their community required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION*:
$17.71 minimum- $26.57 maximum, dependent upon experience.
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity, as well as, adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
