The Clinical Manager is responsible for managing the enhanced risk protocols and supporting the implementation of all required clinical protocols. The incumbent will provide ongoing consultation to clinical and non-clinical staff. The Clinical Manager directs the authorization process ensuring requests for services remain active. The incumbent will support and uphold a commitment to racial and ethnic equity and/or antiracism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the enhanced risk protocols established by the contract holder.
  • In some sites the Clinical Manager may supervise a team of supervisors.
  • Works with clinicians at their assigned site to ensure the required clinical protocols are followed.
  • Provides support for managing authorizations for services to families.
  • Conducts behavioral health assessments when needed.
  • Reviews and approves plans of care.
  • Works with key Choices leadership to support quality improvement processes.
  • Uses data to guide decision-making for supervision of care coordinators and care coordination teams.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with co-workers.
  • Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related human services field.
  • Current licensure by the state(s) in which work is assigned as Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical and managerial experience in community-based behavioral health and human services with children/families.
  • Significant supervisory experience that promotes leadership and initiative in line staff, successful team building, consensus building, conflict resolution, staff development, and advocacy.
  • Demonstrated competence in providing and creating services for culturally diverse populations.
  • Expertise in strength-based programming, crisis intervention, family systems theory, multi-systems care coordination, and case management.
  • Demonstrated skill in fiscal management activities, team building, and development.
  • Strong communication and writing skills. Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) a plus.
  • Be certified in the CANS within 45 days of hire and at all times beyond the first 45 days of employment. CANS SuperUser status highly desirable.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and auto insurance.

Salary Range $60,000-$65,000
