The Outpatient Services Manager manages the day-to-day clinical supervision and operation of mental health treatment services including Individual/Family/Group Therapy, assessment and treatment planning, clinical crisis response, Psychiatric/Nurse Practitioner Services, and other clinical services. The incumbent will provide ongoing consultation to clinical staff and will ensure a strong clinical presence onsite and in the community. The Outpatient Services Manager represents and advocates for the staff and clientele to the community, and they may assist in the development of referral networks and coordinate services with community entities. The incumbent will support and uphold a commitment to racial and ethnic equity and/or antiracism.
Responsibilities Include:
- Implements the clinical vision for the Choices Outpatient Services Program.
- Works with the Clinical Director to ensure that Choices is in compliance with DMH and DOM policy.
- Builds and facilitates integrated and collaborative processes with partnered programs and agencies within the Choices and within the community.
- Directs the hiring, training, and retention of staff at the assigned site.
- Monitors and enhances systems for crisis response and 24/7 availability for families enrolled in Choices Outpatient Services.
- Reviews service planning and ensures that all individuals have an Individualized Service Plan that describes the services to be provided, frequency of services provision, and strategies to anticipate, prevent, and manage crises.
- Ensures consistent capacity to provide appropriate and purposeful services to youth and families enrolled in Outpatient Services. Supports staff in creating an individualized mutually agreed upon plan for frequency and modality of contacts for each family.
- Uses data to guide decision-making for supervision of therapists and other designated professionals providing Outpatient Services.
- Maintains positive working relationships with co-workers.
- Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices and the Choices Outpatient Services Program.
Qualificiations:
- Minimum of master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related human services field.
- Current licensure required in the state(s) in which work is assigned as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Minimum of five years of clinical and managerial experience in community-based behavioral health and human services with children/families.
- Demonstrated competence in providing to and creating services for culturally diverse populations.
- Expertise in strength-based programming, crisis intervention, and system of care implementation.
- Demonstrated skill in fiscal management activities, team building, and development.
- Strong communication and writing skills. Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and auto insurance.
Salary Range: $57,000-$65,000
