Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspect of maintaining the stockroom, equipment, and supplies. Position requires strong interpersonal skills and compassion and respect for persons with disabilities.
Location: BWI Airport, MD
Shift: 10:00pm -6:00am (Sunday to Thursday) Training on first shift for several weeks.
Essential Functions:
- Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications
- Promptly respond to all calls or messages from supervisor or designated representative
- Maintain the cleanliness of the stockroom
- Remove empty boxes, old batteries, and unserviceable equipment from BWI Airport
- Store equipment and supplies in accordance with safety procedures
- Rotate supplies monthly
- Maintain inventories and replenish supplies and equipment in storage areas
- Ensure that supply and equipment deliveries are unloaded and stored or picked up
- Do special orders
- Issue supplies and oversee the stocking of all janitorial carts for all shifts to ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available
- Launder mops and rags
- Ensure that each shift has an adequate supply of mops and rags
- Manage the SDS sheets
- Train custodians to load and dispense cleaning chemicals properly
- Train employees to use the commercial washer and dryer correctly
- Train other team members on contractual supply/equipment operational procedures and responsibilities
- Repair and maintain equipment, including, but not limited to, commercial washer and dryer
- Maintain equipment inventories to include the operational condition of the equipment
- Schedule preventive maintenance for equipment and maintain down time
- Maintain repair logs
- Order and monitor the installation and removal of walk off mats throughout the Airport
- Monitor the cleaning and replacement of walk off mats throughout the Airport
- Observe BWI Airport security procedures for unescorted access privileges to the Security Identification. Display Area (SIDA)
- Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule
- Work a flexible schedule as required
- Comply with uniform dress code and personal hygiene standards
- Comply with all security procedures
- Wear ID badge(s) at all times while performing work under this Contract
- Attend and participate in in-service training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional development
- Work cooperatively with others in a manner which is positive, enthusiastic, respectful and courteous
Secondary Functions:
- Do emergency cleaning
- Keep records and provide requested reports
- Perform other duties and tasks as needed

Essential Personnel:
This position is designated as essential. This means that when the facility is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.
Education:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Knowledge of typing and computers
Experience:
- Stockroom experience preferred
