Provides orientation, training, and supervision to a team of caseworkers
- Coordinates and implements program-wide initiatives and programming under the supervision of the Assistant Program Director
- Monitors program and lease compliance through the caseworkers and database management activities
- Engages in risk management to ensure program participant's safety
- Responds as needed to crisis situations with case managers in order to assess participants’ needs, provide information, respond to their concerns, discuss problems, and encourage growth and development
- Adheres to the program procedure manual and assists in its ongoing review and development
- Provides supervision to caseworkers
- Participates in recruitment, hire, and onboarding of new caseworkers
- Implements corrective and disciplinary action as needed and under the supervision of the Program Manager
- Participates in program management meetings
- Delivers services to any client on-site in the event that the assigned staff is unavailable
- Ensure unit inspections are being completed by caseworkers on a timely basis
- Ensure caseworkers are conducting assessments and interviews to determine eligibility for the program prior to program entry.
- Ensure caseworkers are completing intakes and in-depth assessments at program entry
- Reviewing to ensure the development and update of action plans, case notes, and other documents related to a participant's file and in accordance with grant requirements.
- Review of monthly check-in with participants and landlords/property management to ensure participants can qualify for housing or subsidized housing.
- Conducting supervision of caseworkers and their assigned caseload on a weekly basis.
- participates in the on-call system to ensure staff coverage and resolve the crisis
- schedules staffing according to contract guidelines and health and safety considerations
- approves or denies vacation and time off requests according to program policies and in response to the needs of the program
- arranges coverage in the event of staff call-out
cooperates with administrative staff in approving or denying overtime requests
according to program policies
- staffs a given shift/position in the event of unresolved staffing shortage for any reason (e.g., staff call-out, illness, emergency, etc)
- maintains awareness of, and liaises with landlord/property management company regarding repair and maintenance issues of participant's units.
II. ADMINISTRATIVE/RECORD KEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES - necessary for maximizing department efficiency. 20%
- assists compliance staff in maintaining participant's records, both written and electronic, according to the funder guidelines
coordinates operational processes with administrative staff, e.g., vehicle access, supplies ordering
maintains personnel records in accordance with standard format and timetables conducts regular team supervisions and staff meetings
- actively participates in a weekly supervisory meetings with Program Supervisor
