Job Duties:
Daily Operations
- Work with the school administration to establish a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.
- Coordinates the daily operation of the school’s, in-school suspension, detention operations and works in cooperation with school office administrators/supervisors responsible for these operations.
- Assists in establishing and administering the school’s student discipline as states on the students’ handbook.
- Assist the school administration with the beginning and end of the school year preparation and procedures; keep Parents and students beginning of school year contracts.
- Assists the school administration in ensuring that the school’s policies and procedures related to student discipline referrals and discipline action plans meet state, federal, and corporate requirements.
- Create, maintain, and keep up to date students’ discipline records.
- Make sure students serving in-school suspension are engaged on compliance with their class assignments.
- Conferences with students referred for violations of the Rights and Responsibilities Handbook, administers disciplinary action as necessary, and notifies parents/guardians of action taken.
- Conferences with parents/guardians of students concerning discipline, attendance, and student behavior.
- Prepares related reports and records as required by the school, state, or federal government.
- Responsible to prepare in a timely manner school certificates, Honor Roll, Students and teachers of the month, Graduation, and any other that can arise.
- Assist the front office when requested with clerical and office duties.
- Responsible to coordinate disciplinary consequences for students’ excessive tardiness.
- Models’ nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
- Responsible to keep the book inventory, prepare orders, and ensure adequate text and workbooks supplies and distribution.
- Keeps in confidence students or adults’ information obtained in the course of carrying out job responsibilities
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the principal or other appropriate administrator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree Preferred
- Previous experience preferred
