Description

Job Duties:

Daily Operations

  1. Work with the school administration to establish a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.
  2. Coordinates the daily operation of the school’s, in-school suspension, detention operations and works in cooperation with school office administrators/supervisors responsible for these operations.
  3. Assists in establishing and administering the school’s student discipline as states on the students’ handbook.
  4. Assist the school administration with the beginning and end of the school year preparation and procedures; keep Parents and students beginning of school year contracts.
  5. Assists the school administration in ensuring that the school’s policies and procedures related to student discipline referrals and discipline action plans meet state, federal, and corporate requirements.
  6. Create, maintain, and keep up to date students’ discipline records.
  7. Make sure students serving in-school suspension are engaged on compliance with their class assignments.
  8. Conferences with students referred for violations of the Rights and Responsibilities Handbook, administers disciplinary action as necessary, and notifies parents/guardians of action taken.
  9. Conferences with parents/guardians of students concerning discipline, attendance, and student behavior.
  10. Prepares related reports and records as required by the school, state, or federal government.
  11. Responsible to prepare in a timely manner school certificates, Honor Roll, Students and teachers of the month, Graduation, and any other that can arise.
  12. Assist the front office when requested with clerical and office duties.
  13. Responsible to coordinate disciplinary consequences for students’ excessive tardiness.
  14. Models’ nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
  15. Responsible to keep the book inventory, prepare orders, and ensure adequate text and workbooks supplies and distribution.
  16. Keeps in confidence students or adults’ information obtained in the course of carrying out job responsibilities
  17. Performs any other related duties as assigned by the principal or other appropriate administrator.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor Degree Preferred
  2. Previous experience preferred
