The City of Charlevoix is seeking a Seasonal Assistant Club House Manager for the Charlevoix Municipal Golf Course. Live, work and play in Charlevoix the Beautiful. Charlevoix borders picturesque Round Lake, Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. Under the supervision of the Club House Manager, this position involves the day-to-day operations of the City of Charlevoix Golf Club facilities. The essential job functions are identified below:
Manage Golf Shop as a profit center:
- Assist with Inventory Control: Ordering, Receiving, pricing procedures, display & sales
- Reporting: Daily activity records, revenue & expense reports, daily Tee Sheets
- Directly responsible for maintaining records & relationship with both GAM (Golf Association of Michigan) & USGA membership
Marketing, Event Planning & Tournament Operations:
- Assist in Tournament operations including planning, promotion, course setup, scoring, prize distribution & follow up.
- Assist in increasing Membership through membership drive & specific Membership Loyalty programs
- Assist with Junior Golf events & programs
- Assist in the development & operations of weekly league play
- Conduct individual lessons & group clinics
Leadership Management:
- Assist with staff management, work schedules, record keeping, opening & closing procedures
- Assist in budget review, planning, & adherence
- Facility Management – insure both inside & outside Club House is maintained and clean
- Enforce all City of Charlevoix Golf Course policies
- Conduct a professional manner & maintain a professional image at all times
