Position Summary
Welcome to Greendale, Indiana! Greendale is part of the Wellness Group within Catalent, as well as the Softgel and Oral Technologies (SOT Business Unit). This Catalent manufacturing operation specializes in gummy manufacturing. On site, we have a state-of-the-art Mogul unit for manufacturing gummies, a highspeed bottling process, and a pouching operation.
The Site Procurement Manager is responsible for procurement leadership, sourcing and procuring materials, services, and capital for the site. The Site Procurement Manager will lead site procurement team and initiate and foster relationships with site stakeholders, establishing and prioritizing activities for their team to achieve objectives and results. Work closely with the Director Procurement, the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), Site Operations, Business Unit Leadership, and critical stakeholders at the site and across the company. Leads site-level initiatives for supplier management, supplier quality & supplier performance improvement as well as supports global procurement initiatives.

The Role
Leadership, engagement, and development of site procurement team. Develop and execute succession planning and talent development for key positions.
Minimize impact of supplier shortages by proactively identifying and resolving potential material supply issues, timely communication, collaborating with Supply Chain for inventory build, and proper escalation. Increase spend under contract. Negotiates supply agreements with vendors improving commercial conditions.
Responsible for ensuring suppliers adhere to the Terms & Conditions specified on the purchase order and resolves challenges, for implementing the Procurement guidelines on site and contributing to its local deployment.
Integrate with GPO, including Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Capital, CSR/D&I, and PMO to ensure regions are aligned with GPO initiatives. •Partner with Category leadership to develop and execute strategies for the categories that he/she participates in or leads, globally or regionally that creates value to Catalent and meets customers’ expectations.
Ensure site procurement is engaged and aligned with internal customers/stakeholders, gaining stakeholder and leadership support at the site. Partner with engineering and Global Capex Category Management for RFP, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution. Partner with Finance to define and implement a PPV process. Communicate price changes and / or discrepancies and determine financial impact.
Develop pipeline of opportunities (savings, cash flow, growth, other value) for the site, representing local, regional, and global initiatives. Leverage and negotiate pricing on combined volumes of purchases at various locations with industry leading suppliers to reduce the cost of goods and overhead. Prioritize savings opportunities and takes a unified approach with our various purchasing locations globally or regionally to meet with the potential suppliers and get the lowest possible total cost to deliver cost savings.
Prepare site annual sourcing plans linked to annual profit plans to maximize value contribution, drive improvements, and minimize risks. Ensure annual procurement budget (savings, cost avoidance, inflation) is met.
Demonstrate expertise in the engagement and utilization of sourcing and procurement tools including RFx’s, contracting and scorecards/reports/communications, etc. Through a collaborative team coordinates and drives RFP’s / RFI’s process for regional and global initiatives. Invites suppliers to provide solutions and cost proposals for Catalent business requirements, evaluates proposals, makes supplier.
The Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Engineering, or comparable disciplines is required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Industry certifications a plus, prior experience in Food industry highly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive international experience and career advancement in procurement or comparable function.
Experience working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing and/or GMP facility is an asset.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend, or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
