Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Systems Improvement (SI) Data leads the Data Advocacy Team in the creation, implementation and management of the Data Advocacy work both to analyze and track for Casey Family Programs (CFP) the progress being made in jurisdictions based upon the data they provide or that is available publicly, and to also provide intensive consultation and technical assistance to jurisdictions, partners and CFP direct service units (CFP field offices and Strategic Consulting teams) in order to develop their data capacity and usage to drive system change for improved outcomes for youth and families. The team works across Casey and with jurisdictions and partners directly to collaborate in defining key data points and measures to evaluate the functioning of child welfare or related systems and the specific work efforts they are engaged in. The success of the role is measured by the ability of the Strategic Consultants, SI staff and partners to engage in meaningful dialogue around the work based on current data analysis and trends that help drive data informed decisions on system design and change. Also, success is measured by the ability of jurisdictions and partners to increase their capacity in the use of data directly to drive decisions that improve outcomes for the families they serve.

| · Identify and seek out new data development, analysis and support opportunities to meet the needs of helping CFP achieve our vision. This includes work internally and also with jurisdictions around data collection and management systems. | · Make recommendations for the budget allocations for data related activities and provides data to shape budget recommendations of all our investments, and oversees the spending of the data agreements engaged in for our work. | 10% |

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field is required.
- A minimum of ten years recent progressive management experience, preferably in a human services or non-profit organization.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team of independent director and advisors.
- Demonstrated experience to integrate across different Casey teams and develop data capacity to meet the organizational needs
- Demonstrated high level of organizational skills including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines.
- Knowledge of key national experts and data systems in the data and research/evaluation field and ability to develop and maintain strong relationship with these experts and leaders of jurisdictions and key partners
- Demonstrated data and project management experience, including record keeping, preparation of proposals; knowledge of contractual agreements; and ability to analyze data and report findings
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a team during periods of organizational.
- Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, text, and figures; ability to type utilizing a computer keyboard; ability to travel to outside locations; and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.
- Significant travel across the county is required to support jurisdictions and Casey developed/supported initiatives in the development and use of their data beyond reporting. Up to 50% of the positions time could be engaged in activities that will require travel across the country. Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is required.
This position is based at our Headquarters in Seattle, WA. The base salary for this role in Seattle is $147,000 to $173,000 annually.
Casey Family Programs offers benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, health and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts, eligibility for 403(b) and 401(a) retirement plans, disability, basic life, employee assistance plan and business travel insurance. Additionally, employees are eligible to accrue paid time off, starting at 8 hours per month of annual leave and 8 hours of sick time per month in the first year of employment. Casey Family Programs also observes 10 paid holidays per year and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time employment, employees in good standing are eligible for a three-month sabbatical with pay.
