Purpose:  Assist Clinical/Administrative Leadership with staff supervision and milieu management, in addition to meeting clinical needs of patients and customer service needs of patients and families.

1. The Behavioral Health Technician Administrator will have direct supervision of 4-6 Behavioral Health Technicians, including:
a. Complete Performance Evaluations
b. Assist other Administrators with scheduling and PTO requests of Behavioral Health Technicians
2. Assist Administrative/Clinical staff with patient movement and clinical services, including:
a. Departing and arriving patients
b. Coordination of 12-Step Meeting/Lecture attendance
c. Taking patients to synagogue and/or other places of worship as needed
d. General coordination of patients on and off campus activities
3. As requested, the Behavioral Health Technician Administrator will greet new families upon admission to Caron. Complete tour of facility, field questions, and explore specific needs/expectations of family members.
a. Provide progress reports to parents and referrals that have patients admitted to treatment on weekends. Complete collateral notes in Sigmund based on these contacts
b. Complete interventions on patients who refuse to sign into treatment at Admissions or who refuse to stay in treatment upon arrival at Caron
4. The Behavioral Health Technician Administrator will assume role as main contact for external calls:
a. Be point person for Behavioral Health Technician callouts and adjust schedule accordingly
b. Take calls from families and collaterals when clinical staff is not available
1. Be point person for Administration as needed
5. All other duties of a Behavioral Health Administrator and/or Behavioral Health Technician as needed.

1. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
2. Must be able to actively participate and supervise patient recreation activities

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with patients in the chemical dependency field
2. CAAP certification required. Need to have achieved or in process of applying for CAAP
3. High School Diploma or equivalent
4. Must possess proficient computer skills
5. Certified compliance under PA Act 33
6. Requires a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license with at least 5 years of driving experience
7. Must meet minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
8. If in recovery, 2 years continuous sobriety preferred
9. Understanding of mental health/dual-diagnosis issues preferred
10. Previous supervisory/management experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Must be thoroughly familiar with (and able to demonstrate) knowledge of the 12-Step programs and philosophies
2. Must possess skills to adequately supervise units
3. Must be able to report and document in a clear and articulate manner
4. Must be able to facilitate discussion groups and psycho-educational groups
5. Must be able to operate as a role model with recovery principles
6. Must possess cultural sensitivity and act appropriately within a culture that is not your own
7. Must exhibit understanding of dual-diagnosis issues
8. Must possess the ability to work professionally with CD population
