Caron Florida is in Delray Beach, about twenty minutes south of West Palm Beach and an hour north of Miami. Caron understands the challenges patients face with mental health issues, as well as co-occurring substance use and psychological issues, leading the organization to value a psychology department on both the Pennsylvania and Florida campuses. This position will require supervisory skills, strong leadership, innovation, significant experience with psychological and neuropsychological testing, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Psychologist. PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.  Neuropsychologist preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory or director level position, ability to provide references as needed.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the field of psychology conducting psychotherapy and/or neuropsychological testing.
  • Must possess appropriate legal clearances.
  • If in recovery, two years of uninterrupted sobriety.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must endorse the Caron Treatment Centers philosophy that chemical dependency is a primary, permanent, progressive, and potentially fatal disease that is treatable.
  • Must understand the importance of being a Trauma-Informed and Resilience Oriented (TIRO) organization.
  • Training in and demonstrated experience providing psychological services using Evidence-Based Therapies (individual and group) for the treatment of a broad range of co-occurring disorders.
  • Training, experience, and demonstrated advanced competence in the ethical use of a wide range of Psychological Testing (i.e., use of neuropsychological, ADHD, and diagnostic/personality tests)
  • Ability to function in multiple roles of clinical supervision, including consultant, mentor, team member, and administrator.
  • Ability to work independently, using good judgment to appropriately resolve any clinical, staffing, or programmatic issues that arise.
  • Demonstrate organization and an ability to set priorities.
  • Use a leadership style that creates and maintains an environment based on mutual respect, trust, and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage crisis situations calmly, proactively, and with a professional demeanor.
  • Empower and delegate key duties to others when appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate complex and technical information in a clear, articulate manner.
