We are centrally located in the Raleigh/Durham Metro area and are fortunate to have a wealth of talent to support the growing market. Unlike many of our competitors, Sunrock is vertically integrated. We offer our customers a “one-stop shopping” experience by producing aggregates, recycled aggregates, asphalt, concrete and a full line of grading and paving contracting services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The equipment operator for grading operates and maintains various pieces of equipment. On occasion this position may deliver material outside of Sunrock facilities.
• Operates heavy equipment such as: bull dozer, excavator, roller, and backhoe.
• Read plans on site and check grade according to site plan.
• Operate/drive equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, concrete, asphalt, or other hard surface pavement on road beds and dirt/earth surfaces in a safe manner.
• This position may perform other duties on the crew as needed.
• The operator is responsible for pre and post checks, daily maintenance, and keeping the equipment clean and ready for daily operation.
• Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Required Skills

• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License is preferred.

Required Experiences

• EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
