From Design Build to Firm Fixed Price, our electrical contracting services provide turnkey electrical solutions to customers ranging from the Federal Government to Consumers in the Private Sector. Our Estimating software utilizes state-of-the-art take-off methods with the capabilities to produce well-documented accurate estimates.

Allegiance Industries is expanding and looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Electrical Estimator to join our Electrical Division in Charlotte, NC. This position will support multiple divisions throughout the Carolinas.

Day to day:

  • Oversee the work of 2 Estimators
  • Develops accurate cost estimates from takeoff to bid handoff.
  • Analyzes material and labor requirements to complete a project, including onsite evaluations of job sites to ensure accuracy.
  • Attends prebid and scope review meetings.
  • Computes and submits bids and performs bid reviews with Corporate Team members.
  • Conduct meetings with engineers, customers, vendors, and project managers.
  • Contacts vendors for competitive firm pricing.
  • Analyze the cost impacts of various equipment solutions.
  • Maintains the change order submissions/documents in an organized and standardized manner.
  • Creates submittals based on specifications for each project while working with team members to disseminate collective information.
  • Works with DOEO, Division managers and Project Managers on qualifying bids
  • Keep an active bid tab and assist in business development based on current trends.
  • Assists Project Management Team in Project Closeout and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Background and Experience:

  • 6-8 years of estimating experience
  • Electrical license or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Able to work with and adapt to multiple Estimating Software programs
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
  • Ability to read and evaluate specifications and blueprints
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers
  • Ability to analyze risks involved with certain project types
  • Ability to estimate large and small projects
  • Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure
  • Excellent math skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills- and a competent understanding of all types of operating systems
