The Project Engineer Intern position is the perfect jumping-off point to start a career with Carmel Construction.  Whether you’re a teammate on one of our projects working on field or project management-related tasks, or supporting regional operations in our corporate office, the experiences garnered at Carmel will provide a solid foundation to build upon for your upcoming career.

We differentiate ourselves from other general contractors by harnessing the power of full vertical integration, which allows us to maximize value through the entire life cycle of a project, from development & design to construction to asset management. This strategic advantage will position you to not only learn about the fundamentals of construction but also be exposed to understanding how our construction fits into the larger development picture to fuel our company’s growth. 

What you’ll bring

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Extensive computer knowledge: Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) internet and e-mail
  • Interest in workplace safety programs and ability to abide by company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background

Location: New York and Washington DC | Duration: 8-12 Weeks.

 Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation range from $23. to $25. hr.
