Salary - $50,000 -$58,500 depending on experience !!

Come join our team as the facility Full Time Maintenance Supervisor at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. This management and hand-on position oversees the facility plant management and ensures all systems and equipment are operational and meeting regulatory standards in the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes, directs and supervises the operation of a skilled nursing facility's preventative maintenance and repair program involving building and grounds.
  • Coordinates maintenance and repair activities with functions of other departments.
  • Plans, directs, and supervises TELS maintenance program (heating, cooling, plumbing, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, communications, carpentry, painting and similar work
  • Supervises maintenance assistant, assigns duties and evaluations work performance
  • Supervises grounds care, maintenance or institutional equipment and buses
  • Records of work performed and costs involved
  • Coordinates work of maintenance department with other department functions, so as not to interrupt patient care or normal business functions
  • inspects all equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety; inspects building and grounds regularly for compliance with national, state, and local safety codes
  • Prepares and submits reports, as directed by administrator
  • Alternates on-call for emergencies with the maintenance assistant

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent, also technical degree or associate degree preferred but not required
  • Preferred at least five years of experience in maintenance or similar work
  • Ability to plan and carry out programs in repair on new construction and/or installation, ability to direct others
  • Able to work with others
  • Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and allied machinery as well as the various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating
  • knowledge of supplies and equipment used by department and the care of equipment
