Primary Function: Responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position.

Maintains Surgical Technologist Certification

Demonstrates working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment.

Primary Preceptor for the scrub role.

Complies with customer service requirements.

Actively participates in QI programs.

Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN.

Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

Maintains BLS
Job Qualifications and Specifications: Graduation of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Surgical Technologist Certification is required. BLS Certification Required.
