Primary Function
Performs activities necessary for day-to-day management of a clinical research project focusing on biomarkers and novel cognitive assessments related to Alzheimer’s disease
Responsibilities
- Recruits, screens, and schedules potential research participants
- Obtains informed consent from research participants
- Coordinates study visits and participant-facing activities
- Administers cognitive assessments
- Manages neuroimaging scheduling and data collection
- Prepares and presents updates and/or study progress reports
- Collects, manages, and analyzes data
- Maintains study tracking systems and databases
- Prepares charts and visual presentations for team meetings and conferences
- Performs other activities necessary for the day-to-day management of the project, as assigned by the principal investor and/or project manager
- Follows study protocols and procedures in support of established project goals
- Trains and mentors support staff on specified tasks or projects
- Respects and safeguards the rights of human subjects, including the confidentiality of the information gathered
- Observes all relevant risk management, infection control, and safety policies and procedures
- Attends orientation and ongoing in-service education as required
- Observes all general hospital policies, guiding principles, rules, and regulations
- Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital’s service standards
Job Qualifications and Specifications
- Education: BA/BS in a relevant field
- Training and Experience: Previous research or face-to-face experience with seniors or persons with cognitive impairment preferred, but not required
- Skills: Must have strong interpersonal/organizational skills and be comfortable communicating over the phone. Familiarity with MS Office core applications is essential
Schedule: 40/80 Full Time Days (Monday-Friday)
