This position is Per Diem and will be assigned to Kent Hospital

Job Summary:

The Occupational Health Nurse provides nursing care/health education and guidance to hospital employees through a comprehensive employee health program.

Provides first aid/initial assessment for employees who become ill or are injured at work, maintains appropriate records and reporting of work-related illnesses/injuries, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and programs.

Assists Nurse Practitioner with physicals, tests, and hospital-wide immunizations/ inoculations. Assists in designing and implementing health in-service programs, and develops protocols to monitor employee health and pre-vent employee work-related accidents and illness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current licensure as a professional nurse in the State of Rhode Island required.
  • Minimum of one to three years of clinical experience in a hospital environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills and proficiency in personal computer data management.
