Medical Staff Coordinator I

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of administrative tasks to support colleagues and management pertaining to the credentialing processes of physicians and other licensed health care professionals of the medical staff of Care New England Health System (CNE).

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 to 3 years experience.

Medical Staff Coordinator II

Job Summary:

Responsible for processing initial applications and reappointment applications to credential and privilege physicians and other licensed health care professionals of the medical staff of Care New England Health System (CNE). Performs primary source verifications and evaluates information to ensure applicants meet criteria in accordance with CNE's Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, Policies and Procedures, and all requirements of accrediting organizations and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree Preferred. Minimum 5 years experience required. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.

Medical Staff Coordinator III

Job Summary:

This is a Lead position responsible for processing initial applications and reappointment applications to credential and privilege physicians and other licensed health care professionals of the medical staff of Care New England Health System (CNE). Performs primary source verifications and evaluates information to ensure applicants meet criteria in accordance with CNE's Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, Policies and Procedures, and all requirements of accrediting organizations and regulatory agencies. Trains and mentors staff. Performs complex activities in support of Medical Staff Operations. May perform quality audits.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree Preferred. Minimum of 7 Years experience required. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) required*, Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.

*If not certified, must obtain certification within one year of hire date.
