JOB TITLE: Receptionist
STATUS/HOURS: Part Time - Daytime Hours (Mon: 8am-2pm; Tues: 8am-3pm; Wed: 8am-2pm; Thurs: 8am-2pm; Fri: 8am-11am)
DEPARTMENT: Admissions
REPORTS TO: Admissions Office Coordinator
LOCATION: Wauwatosa Campus
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing multi-line telephone system, greeting visitors, handling incoming/outgoing mail, and performing routine clerical tasks for the admissions department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer and direct calls
- Keeps track of daily inquiry log
- Responsible for retrieving & routing voice mail messages
- Greets and assists visitors
- Directs visitors to appropriate party
- Provides prospective students with information sheet
- Comfortable with making calls to returning students
- Supports open house functions.
- Prepares new student acceptance letters
- Prepares other correspondence as needed
- Supports the Admissions and Academic Department
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with students and visitors
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all associates
- Requires good planning, organizing, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
EDUCATION
- Associates degree from an accredited college preferred.
