Job Summary:

The Student Academic Resources Coordinator is responsible for coordinating student academic coaching and testing for the campus/region.

Responsibilities:

  • Train tutor and testing staff.
  • Coordinate testing services for new and continuing students.  This includes proctoring the ACT assessments, TEAS (when needed), as well as entry/placement assessments.
  • Instruct one course per term in an area where credentials are met.
  • Coordinate ADA accommodations. 
  • Provide essential information literacy support to students and faculty. 
  • Create a regional marketing effort designed to increase visibility and usage of the Academic Learning Center.
  • Other duties, as assigned.  These could include the management of courses/programs.  If so assigned, the associate would:
    • Hire, train, assign, and evaluate part-time instructors.

Skills and Experience:

  • The desired qualifications for the position are:
    • Instructional experience of 2-4 years.
    • Experience in providing information literacy support to students and faculty.
    • Experience managing tutoring/testing services in a post-secondary environment.
  • The minimum qualifications for the position are:
    • A master’s degree.
    • Experience in some form of management capacity, with a preference for management in an educational setting providing academic support for at-risk/high risk students with a predominant non-traditional population.

Salary:

$48,000 - $50,000 ($23.07 - $24.03 per hour)

This position is eligible for overtime.

The selected candidate’s actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
