The Richmond Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for a full-time Nursing Faculty/Nursing Skills Lab Assistant position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support lab requirements as assigned.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Supervisor, Clinical Coordinator, and Faculty in scheduling the nursing skills lab to ensure efficient usage, access for students, and support for faculty.
- Help coordinate and schedule skills instruction, practice, and testing.
- Ensure the appropriate equipment, supplies, set-up, and availability for each skills lab.
- Monitor and manage supply use and inventory to meet student and faculty needs.
- Document and report lab activities to support maintenance of compliance with approval, accrediting, and College requirements.
- Prepare and conduct clinical simulations using high-fidelity simulation mannequins/equipment.
- Teach clinical and/or theory classes as needed in one or more areas depending on transcript review: Fundamentals, Pharmacology, Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, Mental Health and/or Lifespan Development, Community Health, Leadership Development courses, etc.
- Model life-long learning; continuous professional development and maintenance of a professional teaching portfolio.
- Participate on Simulation Committee as needed.
- Other assignments as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Competencies:
- Licensed RN with BSN.
- Working knowledge of traditional computer software (e-mail, Microsoft Word, etc) as well as simulation mannequins and equipment.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment.
