AIR Communities is hiring a Service Technician for a 680+ unit Luxury property in the downtown DC! All levels of experience are welcome to apply, the final offer will be based on technical skills and experience. 

Service/Maintenance Technicians make our apartment communities a great place to live.   We take pride in the appearance and maintenance of our communities, and our residents tell us this is one of the most important reasons they choose to call us home. 

  • You will provide exemplary service to residents and team members.
  • With general direction, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs (i.e. replace AC filters and light bulbs, repair and paint walls, clean common areas, etc.)
  • Completion of basic apartment turn, troubleshoot and repair plumbing leaks, install and replace sinks, faucets, and toilets. Troubleshoot and replace basic electrical components
  • Install/repair/replace household appliances
  • May assist vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections
  • May provide functional/technical direction and training to Service Technicians and supports the development of technical skills

Qualifications

  • 1-3 or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment or relevant training/education program.
  • Basic-Proficient skills in two or more technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)

As an AIR Service Technician, you must have:

  • A reliable mode of transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month)
  • Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $30.00 per hour. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
