Network Engineer V

About this position

A highly skilled and experienced power product design consultant is being sought to join the Edge and Network Services (ENS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading rack-level power product design and monitoring enhancement projects for data center and edge networking equipment, collaborating closely with infrastructure design, deployment, and operations teams across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish standardized rack-level power configuration guidelines for various network platforms and rack types.
• Introduce a new workflow for in-rack power design, incorporating cross-functional reviews. Develop engineering design packages (EDPs) for use by ENS and field deployment teams.
• Implement standardized procedures for power installation and field quality assurance/control.
• Enhance power monitoring, automation, and ownership processes.
• Oversee network power product design, sourcing, configuration, monitoring, and alerting.

Skills/Requirements

• 7 years of experience in power product design and configuration for data center and networking equipment.
• Proficiency in standard operating procedures for power installation, distribution, and monitoring systems, including smart in-rack PDUs and upstream power infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Experience in project management and working in a global team environment.

Additional Info:

• Up to 15% travel may be required.
• This role is based in Reston Virginia.
• Competitive compensation.
• Contract Length: 1 year.

Pay/Salary Range:

• Pay Range: $80-90/hr
