Job Description

Overview:

The Associate Director, Performance Media is responsible for leading the execution team of portfolio of retail clients driving the growth, management, retention, and satisfaction of these accounts. The Associate Director will be located on-site at the client’s office serving as a trusted advisor & consultant, while managing and directing a performance team of Supervisors and Campaign Managers located in NYC. Proven account management and team leadership experience is essential, along with deep experience in Paid Search & Shopping Campaigns and preferably (but not required) experience in Paid Social & Programmatic.

Job Description:

  • Key point of escalation across assigned brands, creatively problem-solving to address client needs, questions, or challenges with approach-based solutions
  • Interfaces with Strategy, Investment, & Analytics teams to provide holistic media plans, share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients
  • Keeps Director and Performance practice lead apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
  • Develops and fosters trustworthy account relationships with clients as a Performance expert to champion initiatives that drive marketing decisions across digital channels
  • Understands client’s goals, markets, needs and expectations of Zenith
  • Attends client meetings on ongoing basis, interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations
  • Independently leads performance and strategy presentations, including recommendations on improving performance, test & learn agendas, optimization opportunities, and prioritization needed to deliver upon goals
  • Embraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
  • Motivates, leads, and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients’ business objectives
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members
  • Establishes expectations and goals for team on performance marketing thought leadership
  • Facilitates the development and documentation of best practices to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the group

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred
  • 4-6 years of account management experience in online advertising, SEM, or eCommerce; agency side preferred
  • Experience managing programs on Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Shopping Campaigns, SA360, and Google Analytics. (Meta & DV360 preferred, but not required.)
  • Expert understanding of Search landscape, buying platforms and new/evolving product offerings, with expertise in campaign implementation, management, analysis, and optimization`
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing and leading people
  • Posseses the ability to solve problems, simplify complex topics, and storytelling performance from insights to actions
  • Has strong attention to detail, the ability to move at an agile pace (think on one’s feet), work independently, and balance multiple tasks

Compensation Range: $91,000 - $144,000 annually.  This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
