Job Description

The Visa Token Services (VTS) team is part of the Digital Products Team responsible for Tokenization adoption & performance, as well as for identifying the new opportunities that exist within the digital payment landscape, creating strategies using Token artifacts and capabilities that define Visa's participation in those opportunities, and delivering the capabilities required to capture those opportunities. Within that team, the Digital Product Director will work with a diverse set of stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver solutions using Visa Token Service (VTS) successfully into the LAC market. The position will focus on providing the execution of all available use cases, capabilities, and improvements that tokenization brings as a platform to digital products into the majority of clients and geographies. This position would be ideal for a candidate with a digital vision and the ambition to change and improve the digital payments landscape with modern platforms, who would be able to articulate use cases journeys and complex capabilities in a very understanding and client centric way that can be easily digested.

Scope of work and key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The successful candidate will continuously review the market landscape to identify new use case opportunities covering different types of payment rails beyond cards, to include ACH, RTP, Swift and new types of networks across clients, start-ups, and emerging players, that will position Visa as the market leader.
  • Act as a Digital product SME with the ability to understand the platform in its entirety, including, but not limited to, overall architecture, integration options, new networks, connections with other systems and services, related APIs, features and capabilities, implementation nuances, pricing, risks, rules, etc.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through an in-depth understanding of the segment and the customer's business needs, leveraging digital opportunities across all product and platforms.
  • Play an active role in our digital strategy with a consumer driven mindset to innovate in the digital arena with new use cases or solutions related to the current infrastructure and the future of payments, bringing innovation and transformation to the digital payments space.
  • Identify new opportunities inside contextual commerce, providing business vision on the latest consumer payment trends and technologies like automatic speech recognition and virtual reality, and how to leverage them into the future of online shopping experiences.
  • The responsibilities for this position will include the support on the design and execution for the Click to Pay Strategy as well as Token authentication strategy in LAC.
  • Play an important role in the development, planning and execution of global and regional strategic initiatives, pursuing long-term and mid-term goals for the digital landscape.
  • Be responsible for supporting the VTS platform for all types of products and manage the new changes such as SRC, QR, RTP based on Tokenization capabilities.
  • Be responsible for operating plans, annual KPIs and creating plans for the LAC region, based on alignment with sub-regional client-facing teams and close collaboration with the Business Process Operations function.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including sub-regional Digital Solution (DS) teams, government relations, strategy, and Client Services teams, to support successful deal closure and provide support to clients and internal stakeholders on Visa Token Services (setting goals and planning roll-out activities, maintaining and regularly updating the VTS project pipeline).
  • The candidate will be the liaison between Product and MS&A team on the COF Tokenization GTM plan, clarifications with clients and narrative around COF Benefits
  • Drive our token service provider partnerships under the Visa Ready program in order to accelerate the implementation of issuer and token requestor solution capabilities with issuers and relevant domestic ecommerce players, increasing our tokenization footprint across the region.
  • Main responsibilities require excellent communication skills and outstanding aptitude to present current and new capabilities leading to practical business solutions.
  • Proactively educate the Visa organization on Tokenization evolution, new use cases and available capabilities in order to continue to transform the ecosystem and identify market development and partner opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requirements include a minimum of 8+ years progressively responsible experience in product development in ecommerce and mobile payments and/or mobile platforms or in payments systems integration and/or digital payments.
• The preferred candidate will have a good understanding of the banking and payments landscape in the LAC region.
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and a proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical internal and external audiences, at varying levels of management.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and an agile mindset.
• Deep commercial acumen – an understanding of the economics of the client’s business and the ways digital products can impact a client’s P&L, as well as the commercial drivers of Visa’s business.
• Consumer driven mindset – must have an in-depth knowledge of how digital solutions can drive security and reduce friction from the consumer’s point of view.
• Knowledge of API integrations and experience in how to build upon that for digital payment products.
• Team oriented, collaborative, inclusive and flexible style, with the ability to tailor delivery of complex topics to various types of audience at different levels
• Demonstrated experience in mobile app product management, development, user design, user behavior analysis and optimization.
• Understanding of Web technologies, mobile payments technologies, including NFC, secure elements, contactless payments, QR online/remote payments and in app payments
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English and Spanish). Portuguese is a plus
• Excellent MS office skills with outstanding presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 139,200.00 to 201,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
