Regional Director of Operations (RDO)
Southern California

The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) plays a critical leadership role in driving the overall success of their assigned market by overseeing financial performance, guiding marketing and sales strategies, strengthening relationships with key accounts and payers, and ensuring effective scheduling and productivity across all service lines and points of service (POS). This individual will lead market-specific teams and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver operational excellence, achieve revenue goals, and ensure exceptional patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

Profit and Loss (P&L) Management

  • Oversee the market’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.

  • Regularly analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.

Marketing Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with corporate marketing teams to create and execute market-specific marketing strategies to drive client acquisition and retention.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to adjust marketing initiatives effectively.

  • Leverage digital, print, and community engagement strategies to promote brand awareness and expand the client base.

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Partner with corporate sales teams to develop and execute growth strategies across all service lines and places of service.

  • Build and manage relationships with key referral sources, physicians, and community organizations.

Account and Payer Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, including insurance providers, IPAs, and other managed care organizations.

  • Collaborate with contracting to negotiate payer agreements and reimbursement terms with key accounts and payers.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for escalations or disputes related to account management and payer issues.

  • Oversee the timely response to all grievances and complaints in the market in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.

Market Scheduling of Clients

  • Oversee scheduling processes across all service lines and points of service, ensuring efficient resource allocation, therapist productivity, and client satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements and plan-of-care guidelines in scheduling practices.

  • Monitor and optimize client scheduling to maximize utilization and service delivery.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop market-level teams, including clinical and administrative staff.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure that all market operations comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client experience.

Strategic Growth and Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for service line expansion, new partnerships, and market growth.

  • Represent All Care Therapies at community events, professional networks, and industry conferences.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications $90,000–$95,000, with an opportunity to earn additional incentives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, sales, or marketing, with responsibility for a significant P&L and oversight of teams exceeding 50 staff.

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in similar senior-level roles.

  • Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, sales strategy development, and market growth initiatives.

  • Advanced negotiation and relationship-building skills with payers, IPAs, and key accounts.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple service lines and points of service in complex healthcare environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred).

  • Clinical therapy background preferred (OT, PT, SLP, BCBA, RN, etc.).

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, managed care contracting, and payer requirements.

  • Extensive experience in telehealth and therapy-based services delivered both in clinic and at home.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, data analytics platforms, and practice management software.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced, and multi-site operational environment.

Working Conditions

Travel Requirement:
Frequent travel within the assigned market and periodic travel to corporate headquarters or other regions/countries as business needs require.
