Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Swimming Instructor to join our team in Lebanon, United States. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

• Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of various ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's abilities and goals
• Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and provide clear instructions to students
• Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Maintain a clean and organized pool area
• Assist in the supervision of the pool area during open swim times
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices
• Perform basic pool maintenance and water quality checks as needed

Qualifications

• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques
• Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification required
• Current Lifeguard certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a swimming instructor or lifeguard preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse age groups
• Patient and supportive teaching approach
• Ability to demonstrate and teach swimming techniques effectively
• Understanding of water safety principles and swim lesson progression
• Physical ability to enter and exit the pool multiple times per day
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Enthusiasm for swimming and helping others learn and improve their skills
