Job Description
Visa University is seeking a Curriculum Architect to join the effort to create exceptional training for our global clients. In this role, you will own and drive the direction of learning products and content for specific curriculum families and topical areas.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of curriculum, learning products and certifications including all activities related to driving the success of the learning assets within your assigned domain area (examples of domain areas: Payments Landscape, Cybersecurity, Portfolio Management, Dispute Resolution). This will include market research to determine customer needs, working closely with design and development team members, vendors, advisory councils, and internal and external SMEs.
Strategic thinking, problem solving skills and a strong affinity for teamwork are essential as the Curriculum Architect will be working closely with VU and VCA colleagues as well as other teams across Visa daily. A willingness to think creatively, build relationships and drive continuous improvement across all team processes is crucial. As Curriculum Architect, you will be accountable for the development and revision of learning products/assets and legally defensible certification exams. You will also monitor and improve customer satisfaction and drive the optimization and expansion of products.
Essential Functions
Curriculum Architects are accountable for overseeing and managing the scoping and production of learning products and assets from beginning to end, including the following functions.
Research and comprehend the market for your assigned domain areas including clients/customers, job roles and responsibilities, industry trends and customer learnings needs.
For assigned domain areas drive an ongoing and proactive process to scope and understand the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for people in-role at various experience levels.
Build relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across assigned domain areas to ensure development and delivery of best-in-class learning products for Visa clients.
Develop and continually refine product vision and roadmaps for your curriculum portfolio(s) based on organization strategy and investment priorities.
Maintain documentation and status reports on all ongoing curriculum projects to ensure effective communication and transparency with stakeholders.
Drive quality management efforts by working with matrixed teams to assure that learning products are built following rigorous development processes that align with roadmap deadlines and are reviewed thoroughly.
Ensure customer and stakeholder voices are heard and clear priorities are set for development/production teams.
Clearly articulate and convey business cases to the team and stakeholders, articulating both the product’s value proposition as well as defining and measuring metrics for its success
Work with delivery, operations, and production teams to monitor and measure learning products to improve (accuracy and efficacy) and drive customer satisfaction.
Contribute to and support continual process improvement by proposing optimizations for any aspect of product management, development, readiness, and lifecycle management.
Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and competitive analyses to identify new opportunities and initiatives which align the long-term product strategy.
Convey product strategy and articulate the value story of new products to internal partners, senior leaders, and external stakeholders and build a broad coalition of advocates for your products.
Develop rapport and trust with customers, business owners and key stakeholders.
Help create reporting methods and reply to questions and requests.
Work closely with marketing teams to define marketing communication objectives and communications based upon value proposition and customer benefits.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 160,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
