Job Description

We are seeking a Temporary, Group Director, Planning to provide planning leadership for one of our most prestigious brands. The duration of this role is late May 2024 through September 30, 2024. The need is for 40 hours per week. In this role you will lead a team of media planners and ensure that best practice is adhered to, workloads are managed and essential team leadership is provided when working with publishers, strategists and planning teams. This is a remote role.

You will:

  • Serve as lead in managing the agency-client relationship.
  • Lead client activity to deliver innovative and ambitious plans that deliver client objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Support the management team to ensure that team delivers best in market results.
  • Liaise frequently with Trading counterpart to ensure plans align with trading priorities.
  • Connect with internal and external networks to deliver against one operating model, considering internal products when delivering planning solutions to clients.
  • Seek understanding of clients' fee models in order to maximize business revenue.
  • Identify business development opportunities from within the existing client portfolio.
  • Support and coach your team to ensure growth and potential are achieved.
  • Develop best practice and more efficient ways of working and ensure team alignment.
  • Provide quality control over all strategy/implementation/integration issue.
  • Build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships with senior clients and also manage expectations of deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of client brands, brand equity, consumer definition and motivations.
  • Establish priorities for key projects.
  • Direct the development of and lead client presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of marketing/communications planning experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with multiple media & communications channels and their role in brand marketing.
  • Experience with local planning/buying for multiple markets.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, with a balanced analytical and creative approach.
  • Unparalleled client service professionalism, maturity and diplomacy.
  • Proven leadership ability-experience managing multiple groups.
  • Current knowledge of trends and innovations in media.
  • High level proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using Agency Planning tools such as Ampower to generate Reach/Frequency curves.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $88.26 - $141.75 per hour. Hourly pay rate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. TEMP employees are eligible for these benefits: paid holidays as outlined on the dentsu 2024 holiday schedule, in addition to safe and sick time.

Residency in the US is Required.This position is a temporary W2 role on dentsu payroll.
