The Associate Director of Contracts Management manages agency-wide processes for governmental contract and grant renewal, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. As the Associate Director, you will plan, direct, and manage grant and contract activities to ensure that the goals and financial objectives of grant funded projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and parameters.  This includes preparing government contract budgets for new and renewing grants, supporting grant submissions, maintaining contract files and following-up on all relevant details. The Associate Director also collaborates with program and department leaders across the organization to ensure appropriate management and tracking of funds. In this leadership role, you will propose efficiency improvements as needed and develop and implement grant-related policies and procedures, as well as lead a contracts team, managing workloads and coaching for growth and development. The Associate Director of Contracts Management reports to the Controller.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management and accounting, including budget preparation and financial analysis required.
  • Expertise in the applicable rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to local, state and/or federal funding including 2 CFR 200 and the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • trong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Project management skills necessary.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.

Job details:

  • Compensation: range starts at $95,000; offers are commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience
  • Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)
  • Location: In office 200 West Monroe Street (downtown Chicago loop) at least 2x/week.
  • Schedule: Full-time, salaried. Regular business hours with flexibility as needed.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
