Position Responsibilities – Essential |
- Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost are prioritized by working closely with the Work Center Lead.
- Subassemble component parts such as gears, bearings, instrument panels, controls, and undercarriages.
- Install components or subassemblies such as axles, engines, generators, fuel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform visual and functional inspections of assemblies and equipment.
- Identify quality issues of components and assemblies and report them to the Quality Inspector as well as the Work Center Lead.
- Perform a variety of repetitive and semi-repetitive subassembly and final assembly operations (i.e. sub assemble minor component parts, bolt parts and frames together, make routine attachments to major frame groups, mount tires, install piping and wires, and install weldments).
- Use standard mechanics tools, torque and impact wrenches and hand tools, hand grinder, ect.
- Read and work from shop drawings, work orders, BOM's, ECN notices, lists or other instructions.
- Detect faulty equipment and defective material.
- Maintain equipment and work area in proper manner following all policies, practices, and instructions from supervisor.
- Follow required safety and quality practices.
- Recommend process/tooling changes for cost reduction and/or quality improvement.
- Work closely with and communicate effectively with the Assembly Team Members, the Work Center Lead, Production Supervisor, and the Director of Operations.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Work Center Lead and Supervisor.
- Promote and conduct good housekeeping skills (5S).
- Act ethically and socially and responsible at all times.

Beneficial Skills and Experience |
- 2 – 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Reading of drawings, use of mechanics tools, use of basic hand inspection tools
- Certifications: safety related, ASE
- Experience with complex assemblies.
- 1-2 years’ experience with all types of measuring equipment to include tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Experience with complex hydraulic systems
