Pay: $66,700 - $70,000 D.O.E

Position Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of building materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets and exceeds performance targets.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and retrieval of building materials.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and implement measures to minimize discrepancies.
  3. Operational Efficiency:
    • Streamline warehouse processes to maximize efficiency and reduce turnaround time for order fulfillment.
    • Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall supply chain operations.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all products meet company standards.
    • Address and resolve any quality issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  5. Safety Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and standards to create a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a safety-first culture.
  6. Equipment Maintenance:
    • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure all warehouse equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Generate and analyze reports on warehouse productivity, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and warehouse activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a distribution center for building materials.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
