Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend company painting techniques and processes, work orders, specifications and plans.
  • Disassemble and reassemble building components, including windows, doors, jams, etc.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to ensure a smooth and clean finish.
  • Tape-off materials as needed to ensure clean, neat paint lines.
  • Select and mix paint colors to match project specifications.
  • Apply paints, stains and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns, paying close attention to detail.
  • Skill in applying caulking, surface coatings, and perform minor cosmetic repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Repair and touch up painted surfaces as required.
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet project deadlines and requirements.
  • Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Keep inventory of paint supplies and equipment, and report any shortages or maintenance needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new painting techniques. Eager to learn new skills and expand your knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Painter in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficient in the use of brushes, rollers and spray guns.
  • Knowledge of paint types, mixing ratios, and application techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow them.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting is a plus.
