Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Troy, MI. Element Troy laboratory provides testing and engineering services to manufacturers and leading suppliers in the automotive and military vehicle sectors. As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of test according to customer specifications and requirements
- Build and tear down of test fixtures
- Possesses the ability to learn lower to intermediate complex testing.
- Training will be provided
- Work with hand tools; wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.
- Overtime daily and weekend is required
Skills / Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
- Minimum 1 yr experience working as a Technician, Mechanic, General
- Repair, etc. or interest in similar field
- Must be able to work with basic tools
- Any experience working with repairing or maintaining cars, trucks, motorcycles, highly desired
