ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor, analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to direct material procurement and inbound freight ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis of supply chain activities, decisions and strategies to assess the financial impact – E.g. Purchase Price Variance; Hold Report; Steel hedging; Pre-buys etc.
  • Analyze pricing changes, standard vs current costs to ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and price variances.
  • Support Annual Operating Plan development and forecasting activities
  • Support continuous improvement projects and cost reduction efforts related to Blue Bird supply chain.
  • Collaborate with SCM and support the development & implementation of should-cost models, sourcing targets and make vs buy templates.
  • Prepare timely reports and presentations to finance and purchasing management highlighting key financial insights

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to reconcile large data sets and intermediate to advanced level skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence reporting tools
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex data to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Continuously perform to high ethical standards and those established from an Internal Controls/Legal perspective.
  • The candidate must have intermediate to advanced skills in Excel; BI reporting tools and the ability to reconcile large data dets.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain or related field)
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum travel
