PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to pull unit into work bay, chock unit on ramps, and install parking brake safety device
- Must be able to read and comprehend all write ups in the inspection hand book “Body and Chassis” and troubleshoot repairs
- Inspect the installation for conformance to engineering specifications and quality requirements
- Must provide own hand tools and tool box
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Notify Cell Leaders when issues arise
- Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Attend daily safety department meetings
- Good computer skills to obtain drawings and instructions
- Good hand eye coordination
- Communicate with supervisors and other team members throughout their shift to ensure daily tasks are clear
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Must pass drug screen, physical, and criminal background check
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes
- Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested working areas
- Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Will be using creepers, hand tools, and air tools in repairing and inspection of units
- Will be working indoors and outdoors
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
- Must meet established quality and production standards in a timely manner
- Practice good housekeeping
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required
- Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
