Essential Functions

  • Perform Quality Control testing of reagents in a timely manner; Bench work may comprise ~50% of time.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot all immunological assay data independently
  • Support technical transfer of product from PD to QC
  • Train associates on assays
  • Work across departments to support new testing methods and determine root causes of issues as they arise in a timely manner; Will develop close relationship with Product Development and Manufacturing teams.
  • Create presentations to identify and resolve issues for cross functional teams
  • Initiate and review SOPs and support any quality audits
  • Analyze, implement and support process improvements and Kaizens to increase efficiencies
  • Maintain a safe and clean laboratory
  • Work in a BSL2 laboratory
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

  • BS with> 8 years of experience may also be considered
  • Proven track record of knowledge of immunological techniques and ability to troubleshoot independently; Must have > 3 years of experience working with diverse cell assay systems and extensive cell culturing techniques
  • Must have > 3 years advances flow cytometry experience
  • Excellent organization, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management
  • Proven track record of collaboration
  • Proven ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) experience in industry preferred.
  • Experience teaching is helpful
