Our Tenant Finish Construction Summer Intern will be involved with assisting project teams in the completion of designated tenant finish projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures and the "BGE Way”.
The Real Estate and Facilities management team at BGE, Inc. is looking for a Tenant Finish Construction Intern to work within their Real Estate and Facilities Department in the development of expanded or new office locations. The right candidate will assist the Project Coordinator and Construction Manager with the management of all functions related to the tenant finish construction projects.

The candidates for this position will:
- Work with industry professionals on projects
- Join in corporate led internship activities, which may include team building, educational, professional development and mentorship opportunities
- Assist the Construction Manager and Project Coordinator with all aspects of the construction projects including scheduling, project cost management, on site supervision, etc.
- Learn how to solicit bids and level bids, create and maintain internal project schedules, and monitor and manage project costs
- Assist in move management.
- Provide basic administrative support, assist other team members as directed, and help with special projects as needed
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner
- Able to work occasional overtime, nights or weekends to support move management
Job Requirements
- Currently obtaining bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science or a degree in a related field
- Candidate must have a basic understanding of construction principles, processes, etc.
- Candidate must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Interest in Corporate Real Estate/Facilities career is a plus
- Computer proficiency - MS Office Suite; ability to learn and adapt to relevant technical software
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Works well in a team-oriented environment
