BGE, Inc will hire a Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Treatment - Public Works/Water Resources to serve in our Public Works Department working out of one of our Austin, TX offices: South Austin (Directors Blvd) or North Austin (Louis Henna Blvd).

We are growing our Public Works Department and seek a Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager to join a team of creative thinker/doers outperforming themselves each day.

Job Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
• Registered PE in Texas required or can be acquired through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• 5 years and up of experience working in public works and/or municipal services projects.
• Previous project management (or right-hand task lead to PM) experience in water, wastewater, lift stations, and pump stations.
• Comfortable with verbal and non-verbal (electronic) communication to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders

Job Qualifications

• Perform engineering and project management work on a variety of civil engineering projects related to water and wastewater systems including modeling, pipeline, lift stations and pump stations facilities.
• Oversee the performance of multiple project managers and/or engineers and their teams.
• Perform, coordinate and oversee the completion of various engineering tasks by technical staff and subconsultants.
• Lead project teams across simultaneous assignments
• Supervise and mentor engineers, designers and technicians.
• Manage the quality, timeliness and financial aspects of projects.
• Serve as point of contact for clients.
• Partner with senior staff in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Lead or support the development of project pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
