The Crew Chiefs is responsible for performing duties of overseeing crews of field labors and operators to achieve maximum and continued productivity while maintaining and being responsible for all equipment used. They are responsible for the safe operation of the equipment, trucks, and the safety of their crews. Make recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, transfer, and compensation of crew members. Evaluates crew members’ performance. Disciplines crew members when appropriate. High exposure to outside weather conditions (wet and/or humid, cold, hot, and more). Sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving during working hours. May be required to work outside regular working hours, including weekends and holidays. Must possess a clean Texas Driver License, have a clean driving record, and be capable of safely driving and inspecting large vehicles. Must be able to complete and pass a pre- employment DOT screening, which also includes a drug screening and a Motor Vehicle Report.
