SCOPE OF POSITION
Obtain knowledge, training and experience to operate and maintain spray drying equipment in pharmaceutical products manufacturing facility according to ISO and GMP guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Prep for packaging activities, operate packaging equipment, operate blender, and perform sieve analysis in compliance with SOPS, GMPs, ISO/FSSC/HACCP and safety guidelines and requirements.
· Clean up and maintenance of plant, plant grounds and equipment.
· Document all required data for process operation, testing, cleaning, and sanitation activities, (manually and electronically).
· Restock supplies, operate forklift and pallet jack, load/unload delivery trucks, recycle product and prepare product.
· Read and become familiar with all production quality system SOPs and documents, safety policies and MSDS.
· Work with “A” Operator and/or Manufacturing Manager to increase knowledge of process and equipment operation and to assume more “B” Operator responsibilities and duties as appropriate.
· Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED.
· Demonstrable mechanical ability and mathematical skills.
· PC skills i.e., MS Office, automated control system.
· Prior equipment/manufacturing experience desirable.
Physical and Mental Demands
· Bending; lifting (50-70lbs); kneeling; walking; reaching with arms and hands.
· Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and various tools.
· Operate various kinds of office equipment (PC, 10-key, copier, telephone, etc.).
· Hand-eye coordination, speaking, hearing, and writing ability.
· Ability to read, understand and interpret charts, graphs, documents, manuals, etc.
· Critical and creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
· 100% Plant (exposure to extreme temperatures, noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, machines with moving parts).
