ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Run equipment based on company needs.
- Operate CNC lathe.
- Setup Haas bar feed and bar chuck.
- Operate Haas dual spindle efficiently.
- Set up and Operate Okuma machines.
- Light maintenance of CNC Machines as needed.
- Precision machining and measurement.
- Inspection and packaging of products.
- Cleaning/Deburring parts.
- Assist in training and evaluating coworkers on assigned shift.
- Plan, delegate and instruct coworkers to coworkers to meet production requirements.
- Assist in meeting annual goals.
- Communicate any quality issues and concerns.
- Explain specifications, blueprints, and job orders to coworkers.
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with Production Supervisor and Manager in regard to attendance, discipline, and other employee related issues.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Ensure coworkers have all needed supplies ready and accessible to them.
- Turn off the following equipment at the end of the shift: fans, skimmers, lights, RO System, air compressor-open valve and bleed water, breakers for all CNC cells should be in the off position.
- Ensure all doors are closed and locked, the building is secured, and alarm is set at the end of 2nd
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to set up and operate dual spindle CNC machines.
- CNC program editing
- Troubleshooting machinery and equipment
- Quality and inspection experience
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges etc.
- IT skills for data entry and data analysis software
- Ability to read blueprints, part prints.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to utilize company programs.
- Leadership skills and experience or equivalent training and certifications.
- Able to set up and operate Okuma lathes.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school or GED equivalent and 1-2 years related experience with some leadership or equivalent training.
