Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Agile SW FO Product Owner to support PEO MS IFMC Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
- Be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Force Operations team.
- Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms.
- Provide guidance to the development team.
- Work with Program management in setting priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
- Conduct technical briefings and advise leadership on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Required Experience:
- Have a Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
- Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed below.
- Have a basic understanding of Force Operations (FO) concepts, including:
- Asset protection
- Development and analysis of courses of action (COA)
- Operation plans and orders
- Airspace control orders and measures
- Possess the ability to provide oversight to the Force Operations (FO) software development team.
- Verify the development team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria.
- Be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS systems.
- Familiarity with current FO implementations in one or more DoD services.
- Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team.
