Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for clinical trials and assist in the performance of clinical procedures to collect data on patients enrolled and/or seeking enrollment in clinical studies

Responsibilities

  • Answering Phones:Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, manage appointments, and provide information to callers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Scheduling Appointments:Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of provider time and the appropriate care for patients.

  • Processing Labs:Manage the processing of lab work, including preparing lab requisitions, coordinating with lab services, and ensuring results are received and properly recorded in patient files.

  • Patient Care:Assist in rooming patients, which includes taking vital signs, recording patient information, and ensuring patient comfort.

  • Record Keeping:Maintain up-to-date paper files for all patients, ensuring that all necessary forms, lab results, and other information are properly filed and easy to locate.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge of clinical trials

  • In-depth knowledge of departmental, protocol and study-specific operating procedures, consent forms, and study schedules

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology

  • Basic skill in using MS Windows and Office applications such as Access, Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

This is a Monday - Friday, Full Time, On Site position at our clinic in South Bend, IN.

The potential base pay range for this role is $37,600.00 - $56,400.00 The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
