Job Description:


Qualified Registered Critical Care Nurses, Acute Care Nurses and Surgical Technicians will be tasked with educating end users on medical equipment (Surgical Gloves and Turnover Kits) used in hospital and other healthcare facilities.


Education and representation of the medical equipment is traditionally used in operating room procedures. Nurses and Surgical Technicians are responsible for end-user education only; there are no sales responsibilities, and there is no patient care.


The Clinical Educator role allows you to utilize your RN/Surgical Technical experience in a new way that does not involve patient care. Additionally, you will receive exposure to the medical device industry with the potential for long-term career growth in the field. This role has the potential for national and/or regional travel to support accounts.

  • Your primary focus will be in-servicing and education only; no sales responsibilities, and no bedside care.
  • A desire to expand your talents in clinical education.
  • Per-diem position requiring travel and flexibility to work with your current schedule.
  • 1-2 assignments per month, ranging 3-5 days per assignment. Travel nationally to support customer needs.
  • Appropriate PPE is provided to all employees prior to the start of assignments


Responsibilities:


• Provide peer-to-peer education and consultation to RN, Physician, and other healthcare staff

   in support of end-user education needs in the healthcare setting
• Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of medical device

   knowledge or understanding of the product
• Assist in the delivery of medical device-related in-service education to support key customers
• Follow-up with key accounts and customers to assess unmet education and clinical needs as it

   relates to successful medical device implementation


Collaborate with client functional areas:


• Provide clinical and professional expertise to end users including RN staff, Physicians and

   other healthcare professionals in a setting without patient care
• Provide customer feedback to corporate teams to improve new and existing medical devices
• Serve as an education resource on the device

Job Requirements:

·         3-5+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Surgical Technicians

·         Operating Room experience preferred

·         ER and ICU experience is a plus

·         Prior experience supporting medical devices is preferred

·         High level of professionalism required

·         Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare staff to include technicians, physicians, nurses, and any other support personnel

·         Customer focused
